Your body is continually communicating with you.
It speaks through sensation.
A tightening in the stomach.
Tension across the shoulders.
A change in your breathing.
A sense of openness when a decision feels aligned.
These signals can help you understand your internal state before your mind has found the words to explain it.
The first step is awareness.
As you move through a meeting or conversation, notice what is happening within you.
Where are you holding tension?
What changes when a certain topic comes up?
What does your body experience when you consider saying yes or no?
You can support yourself with a simple practice.
Gently rub one hand over the other, as though you are applying lotion. Continue for a few moments while noticing the physical sensation.
This quiet movement can be used at your desk, during a virtual meeting, or before a challenging conversation.
The goal is to return your attention to the present.
From there, you have more space to choose your response.
Your body carries valuable information.
When you learn its language, it becomes a trusted part of how you care for yourself and lead from within.
